Best iPhone 7 Cases – Top 7
Originally posted after the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, I’m continually updating this list as I review more cases over on the YouTube channel. If you’re looking for a case to keep your iPhone 7 safe, this list of the best iPhone 7 cases will have something for everyone.
Apple Silicone Case
This one is for you Apple loyalist fans that need to show off the fact you have an Apple device. The Apple Silicone case is probably the one case that’s legally allowed to have the Apple logo stamped on it.
Which is really the only reason you’d want to get one. It’s a simple design and you’ll have your mind at ease knowing your iPhone 7 is sitting in luxurious microfibre.
There’s a small lip around the screen, but lacks any other protective features, so for $40, this is for the O.G. Apple fans which is why it made it on the best iPhone 7 cases list, because what is money?
Speck Presidio Grip Case
Next we have my favourite case at the moment, the new Speck Presidio Grip case. It’s a lightweight version of their CandyShell series, with one important improvement, now sporting a matte finish, compared to the glossy coating on the CandyShell series.
Especially for 7 Plus owners, the added rubber grip lines help to feel confident with the phone in your hand. Ever since they updated to curved edges, It’s been a struggle to hold without the iPhone slipping around.
Speck has a new Impactium Shock Barrier included around the inside perimeter of the case, which helps with drop protection alongside the rubber bezel surrounding the screen.
At $45, if you don’t need to showoff the Apple logo, this is my top pick of the best iPhone 7 cases for it’s lightweight design and for the confidence it provides while in your hand.
OtterBox Symmetry Series Case
The third case, from one of the most recognized brands for their tough cases, is the Symmetry Series from OtterBox. Although not as protective as their signature Defender Series Cases, it still offers quite a bit of protection in a much slimmer package that you can manage for your day-to-day.
The exterior shell has a matte finish, so it doesn’t scratch up as easily, and it just feels really good in the hand. It’s slightly bulkier than the first 2 options, but offers a much thicker bezel and a sturdier design if drop protection is your concern.
For $40, if you’re not a fan of how the Speck Grip lines look, the simplistic look but added security of the Symmetry Series is the next best alternative for a protective case out of all the best iPhone 7 cases.
Apple Smart Battery Case
Number 4 is for the ones who can’t stop scrolling through their facebook feed, even though they’ve already seen everything 3 times already. One of the first battery cases available for the iPhone 7, the Apple Smart Battery case now sports a 2,365mAh battery, which is about 25% larger than the previous model.
That provides a full charge and then some, so you can continue doing this all day. Yeah, there’s no on-off switch, it just continuously charges your iPhone, which I don’t think is a bad thing at all, that’s one less thing I need to worry about turning on.
It’s made of the same silicone material as the Apple silicone case and although many have also criticized the hump on the back, I find it’s actually comforting to hold, as the ridges allow me to rest my palm and fingers on something.
Even at $130, it still makes the best iPhone 7 cases if you find you’re running low on batteries by lunch time, you’re definitely using your iPhone too much, but the Smart Battery case will keep you connected throughout the day.
Tech21 Evo Gem Case
The fifth case is for those who care about how they look and want their iPhone to look just as good. The new Tech21 Evo Gem has, well, gems, inside the back of the case that give it a stylish diamond like 3D look.
For the ones who don’t understand style like I do, it’s the equivalent of putting a giant diamond ring on, it’s super classy. Tech21 is also known for their FlexShock material that’s wrapped around the edges of the case, which helps to absorb impact.
For $45, it’s slim, lightweight, and makes your iphone look super fancy.
Tech Armor SlimProtect Case
Second last at number 6 is the Tech Armor SlimProtect, which, almost doesn’t look like there’s a case there at all. But that’s the point, designed to be super slim, it offers simple scratch protection, but most importantly allows your iphone to do all the showing off.
There’s not much else to it, and at $8, there doesn’t need to be, it’s an affordable way to avoiding scratching up your new black iphone without adding too much bulk.
Spigen Tough Armor Case
Lastly but not leastly, our 7th pick, from Spigen, is the Tough Armor case, which is one of the more popular and reliable choices you can find on Amazon. Bringing back the edge design we lost in from the iPhone 5, I like it for how it feels in the hand.
It’s nostalgic to the days when Apple put function over form. But like the name suggests, it provides decent protection and a rubber bezel around the screen for day-to-day protection.
And all this, for about $15, for anyone that loves the military style look, this is a no brainer that won’t break the bank.
